The Social & Environmental Problem That We Are Working To Solve.
Social Problem: financial instability
How: Through predictable methods of specialty achievements (in this case, it will be quality focused).
No more will farmers gamble with exotic but risky fermentation methods in the hope of striking it rich.
Environmental Problem: climate change.
Setting the mindset:
Climate changes, global temperature increases, arabica cultivation will have to move to higher altitude if we want them to be sustainable. Robusta, on the other hand, is the crop of the future because it is more resistant to pests and diseases, thus it can be grown in a much warmer climate.
To ensure high quality, we must care for Robusta as much as we care for Arabica. Future Farm and Karmic Circle Coffee are working side by side to control all phases from planting, growing, harvesting, post-harvesting process, and storing to ensure quality consistency every year. These steps are important to produce a good cup of coffee so that consumers around the world have more choices of specialty coffee that is made proudly in Vietnam.
Fine Robusta’s typical characteristics: full-body, a balance of low bitterness and high sweet, coupled with a hint of sourness sensation. These characteristics created a complex sensory profile that only Fine Robusta can produce.
Vietnam’s reputation toward high quality has not yet been proven to the world, even though we are the world’s second largest coffee producer after Brazil. Therefore, we are compelled to change that perception and convince the world's coffee drinkers that the development of sensory characteristics are constantly evolving.
With a sustainability mindset, bioremediation farming will restore the natural ecosystem and lead to the resumption of carbon sequestration.
